Denver Green School is (click here for more info!) The Denver Green School Partnership will open a ECE - 8 school in the Denver Public School District. The school would provide a curriculum dedicated to academic excellence while at the same problem-solving around issues of sustainability.The school will partner with Front Range Earth Force, and utilize their service-learning model to engage the community around issues of sustainability. Mission: In partnership with our diverse urban community, the Denver Green School will provide a hands-on, brains-on experience that includes all students, staff, families and community, preparing all learners to lead the way toward a sustainable, bright green future. We are not a Charter School. We are a community school. Opening August 2010-2011 school year with 2 classrooms per grade level with an average class size of 25; ECE, K, 1, 2, and 6th 2011-2012- ECE,K,1,2,3,6th and 7th 2012-2013- ECE, K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6th, 7th and 8th 2013-2014-ECE - 8th DGS is a school that will serve the needs of your community led by a dedicated team of teachers and leaders from within Denver Public Schools, Denver based non-profits and higher education. We are a neighborhood school with choice. We have a comprehensive plan for closing the achievement gap and promoting academic excellence while preparing our students for college and the 21st Century workforce. We seek to become a beacon in the community that will build partnerships, promote sustainability and prepare students for a bright green future.
